HAPPY NEW YEAR!

COMEDY OF ERRORS CAST PARTY 🥳

If you came to watch Comedy of Errors Remixed, you already know how special this company was. If you followed the journey from the start of 2025, you will know just how much growth happened along the way.

So here is how we closed it.

The cast and crew came together for a final night that was full of laughter, a few tears, and more than a few surprises. The team transformed the space with Comedy of Errors Remixed themed décor and the energy was set from the moment people arrived dressed to impress.

Huge thanks to Bootstrap Charity for hosting us and to our caterers for serving up an incredible meal that brought everyone together around the table.

The night moved from food and music to a carefully chosen awards ceremony, celebrating presence, growth, commitment, leadership, comedy, and ensemble spirit. We highlighted the breadth of talent across the company rather than focusing on individual wins. It was about the whole journey.

We then watched a medley of moments from across the year, followed by our infamous Intermission spoof video. Absolute chaos. Hysterics all round. A perfect reminder that joy sits right at the centre of our work.

None of the past ten months would have been possible without the support of our team, our partners, our sponsors, and the belief placed in these young people. We are already in motion, gearing up to do it all again. Same hunger. Same care. Bigger impact.

OUT & ABOUT

DECP CONFERENCE 2026 📍

At the 2026 DECP Conference, Intermission Youth shared a 30 minute performance that cut straight to the heart of why this work matters. Shakespeare sat alongside real lived experience. Young people, education, trauma, recovery, humour, anger, joy and truth all in the same space.

The response was immediate. People stayed. People talked. People asked questions. A number of attendees have already followed up about future invitations into schools and hopefully more conferences.

What landed most was honesty. No polish for the sake of it. Just young people speaking clearly about the world they are navigating and being listened to properly. Turn Judgement Into Curiosity in action.

GRAD NEWS

FROM PAGE TO STAGE!

We’re kicking off the year with a bang! Our brilliant Writers’ Programme graduate Tia Renée Mullings is taking her play A to B to @SohoTheatre this June, and we couldn’t be prouder.

First developed in our workshops, the play went on to shine at our Writers’ Showcase before making its way to the Edinburgh Fringe last year. Now, it’s heading to one of London’s most exciting stages and if you havent already seen it, now is your chance.

Keep your eyes peeled for this year’s Writers’ Programme sign-up if you’re ready to get the tools, support, and confidence to bring your own ideas to life.

THE CAMERA LOVES THEM 🎬

As if appearing in Netflix’s hit series Top Boy wasn’t enough, grad Micah Loubon is back on our screens, this time as Billy the Kid in director Leo Powell’s The Orphan. With strong supporting performances from fellow grads Pia Somersby and Iain Gordon, The Orphan is a powerful showcase of the naturalistic acting we support our young people in developing.

A skill they carry with them throughout their careers. Shining a light on the tactics used in child criminal exploitation, and the ways systemic failures in the care system leave young people vulnerable to dangerous cycles, The Orphan is an essential watch.
